From...March 7...to 10, 2016, Elena Harconiţa, the director of the SL USARB and Lina Mihaluţa, deputy director, participated in Brasov, Romania, at the inauguration of the Project ERASMUS + Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education (CBHE) project "Library Network Support Services” (LNSS): modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services (LNSS).

The direct beneficiaries of the project are librarians, but the reforms will have a positive impact on academics, students, administrative staff of universities, but also on people with special needs. The overall aim of the project is to modernize and consolidate libraries, to improve the skills of librarians in higher education institutions in Moldova, Armenia and Belarus.

lansare proiect 2The project aim is at creating and maintaining a network of support services in the Eastern Partnership countries "library network" that would change libraries of institutions involved in the project in some modern, relevant and accessible.

Project Leader for the Eastern Partnership countries, Dr. Teresa Khechoyan, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia, described the goal and objectives, work packages, planning activities, training program, piloting and policy development, management quality and evaluation, dissemination and sustainability.lansare proiect 3

Manana Slukvadze, financial coordinator of International Projects, spoke about the financial rules for projects CBHE about guidelines for the use of the Grant, and explaining their treatment.

The program of professional meeting also has provided a visit to the Library of Transylvania University of Brasov and Bran Castle.
