2017, 4 DECEMBER - THE LESSON: TOOLS FOR RETRIEVING INFORMATION FOR STUDIES AND RESEARCH. KNOWLEDGE CONSOLIDATION DISCUSSIONS
On...December...4, 2017, the lesson "Tools for retrieving information for studies and research. Knowledge consolidation discussions” for Masters students of Science in Social Work Supervision, Public Administration Management was promoted within "Information Literacy and Research Skills" Module at the Scientific Library of "Alecu Russo" Balti State University. The lesson was compiled as a working package of the ERASMUS+ LNSS Project "Library Network Support Services: Modernizing Libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through Library Staff Development and Reforming Library Services".
Mihaela STAVER, trainer, the Base librarian discussed the following topics within the lesson : Defining Information Needs, Search Engines, Online Directors, Scientific Portals and Databases with Multidisciplinary Coverage (Search / Sort / Archiving Criteria), EBSCO, SpringerLink Databases, Result Management, knowledge building : tests, tasks, exploitation of databases.
Igor COJOCARU, PhD, Assosiate professor, Deputy Rector of Scientific Activity, Innovation and Technology Transfer had an opening speech and spoke about the importance of project and wished success to the participants.
Lina MIHALUTA, Deputy director of SL USARB, spoke about general and specific objectives, working packages, Information Literacy Curricula and Research Skills Module within project ERASMUS + Capacity Building in the Field of Higher education (CBHE).
