...Within..the..Annual National Conference Librarian Association of the Republic of Moldova (ABRM)'s 2017 "Transform Libraries - Transform Communities” which took place at the Scientific Library of the Alecu Russo Balti State University, Elena Harconita, Director of the USARB Scientific Library and Rodica Sobieski-Camerzan, Director of the AAPM Scientific Library, presented the projects: "Library Network Support Services” (LNSS): modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services (LNSS); implemented within the program Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) (2015-2018); Modernization of academic library services in Moldova”, (2016-2019), funded by the Norwegian Cooperation Programme in Higher Education with Eurasia, developed in partnership between the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, University of Bergen, Norway,Transylvania University of Brasov, Romania and  18 university libraries from Republic of Moldova.; Modern Information Services for. Improvement Study QualityTEMPUS MISISQ Program (2013 -2016).

The event was attended by 110 librarians from the National Library System in Moldova (national libraries, university, specialized, public, colleges, centers of excellence, vocational schools and schools). The event was honored by the participation of Ms. Elena Pintilei, the General Director of the National Library of Moldova.

With greeting messages came Dr. Gheorghe Neagu, USARB Vice-Rector of Part-time Studies and Continuing Education, Mariana Harjevschi, Librarian Association of the Republic of Moldova (ABRM)'s President, Elena Harconiţa, Director of USARB Scientific Library.abrm conference 2

As mentioned ABRM President's opening speech, the National Conference was dedicated to a priority segment - to the work of libraries in national and international projects, their involvement in transforming communities with relevant impact on innovative services, and the modernization of librarians' skills.
